Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
  • Intermediate English required
  • Functional knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including Six Sigma, VSM layout (AutoCAD), installed capacity, bottlenecks, takt time/cycle time, and basic tools for observing processes and identifying waste
  • Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, including APQP concepts, PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, MSA, use of torque tools, Pinpoint software for torque data, measurement equipment and CMM report interpretation, and software systems (ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE)
  • Functional knowledge to develop tooling/fixturing/templates (essential)
  • Functional knowledge of Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies, including engineering drawing reading, 1E spec interpretation, and welding process (essential)
  • Advanced understanding of Standard work instructions for operations
  • Availability for work schedule Monday to Friday 6:30am-5pm (subject to change to Monday to Saturday 6:30am-2:30pm) depending on production line support needs
  • Willingness for international travel up to 20% of the time (during production line implementation only)

Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day manufacturing Assembly process and support tasks for production lines
  • Meet goals on PQVC metrics
  • Ensure compliance to safety guidelines and environmental requirements for manufacturing
  • Manage NPI and EC aligned with APQP/PPAP
  • Ensure robust production process
  • Create/update value stream documentation
  • Perform defect analysis
  • Create safe standard work procedures
  • Update assembly and testing machines to prevent/detect defects
  • Analyze and update process workflow to optimize delivery velocity
  • Establish measurements and metrics on consumables to lower production cost
  • Team work to implement new products
  • Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes
  • Maintain APQP system documentation
  • Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream
  • Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas
  • Provide coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas
  • Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities
