The Manager, Workday Financials Consulting is a key practice leader, providing expert guidance to the Financials Consulting management team and their team members. This individual supports the sales team with activities like orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOWs). They work closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, acting as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management. This role also assists in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and monitoring/adjusting consultant work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of Workday Financials Consulting implementation experience.
    • Proven experience leading a virtual team for 2+ years.

Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight:
    • Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members to identify project needs, reduce risk, and develop solutions and strategies.
    • Responsibility for Workday Financials projects across the practice.
  • Sales Support:
    • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Financials Consulting work.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.
    • Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment.
    • Lead and manage Managers and Consultants to ensure consultants adhere to Workday and Cognizant’s Implementation Methodology.
  • Client Relations:
    • Drive team and individuals to achieve high client satisfaction levels.
    • Establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company.
    • Build trust-based relationships and identify business development opportunities.
  • People Development:
    • Perform the role of mentor and coach.
    • Analyze team skills and provide for cross-training to maintain teams’ ability to staff projects appropriately.
    • Advise management team on team members’ level of expertise and availability.
  • Performance Management:
    • Establish direct reports’ goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process.
    • Direct the collection of performance feedback from client and engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion of project.
    • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members, assuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis.
    • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team.
