Requirements

  • Based in the Singapore office
  • Experience managing Marine Technical Operations (MTO) technical teams, including personnel development
  • Knowledge of shipboard technical systems, including gaseous and liquid fuels, ballast, and fresh water
  • Ability to assist in development and planning of key maintenance periods aligned with vessel operational profiles
  • Capability to appoint and manage subcontractors for maintenance and repairs within time and budget constraints
  • Proficiency in reviewing, adjusting, and introducing procedures and work instructions
  • Expertise in ensuring proper record keeping and adherence to Classification and Regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of Flag State, Port State, international, and classification society requirements, including Continuous Survey Hull and Machinery
  • Knowledge of DCL standards, IMO IGF Code, and applicable regulations for fuels
  • Understanding of IMO SOLAS, IMO International Code for Low Flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code), and Det Norske Veritas Rules for Ships
  • Experience with engineering documentation for hazardous areas (Hazardous Areas Zoning Plans, Hazard Identification Analyses, Hazard and Operability Studies, Schedule of electrical powered installations, OEM Nationally Accredited Approval Certificates)

Responsibilities

  • Manage Technical System Maintenance for the Disney Adventure and other vessels in the Asia & Pacific region
  • Manage assigned Marine Technical Operations (MTO) technical team, including personnel development
  • Ensure upkeep and performance of assigned shipboard technical systems (e.g., gaseous and liquid fuels, ballast, fresh water)
  • Assist in development and planning of key maintenance periods aligned with vessel operational profiles
  • Appoint and manage subcontractors for contract maintenance and repairs on time and within budgets
  • Review, adjust, and introduce procedures and work instructions for areas of responsibility
  • Ensure proper record keeping and adherence to Classification and Regulatory compliance
  • Assist with departmental budgets for areas of responsibility
  • Act as liaison with Flag State, Port State, international, and classification society for areas of responsibility
  • Oversee compliance with technical aspects of Flag State, Port State, international, and classification society resolutions/requirements, including maintenance verification under Classification Society Continuous Survey Hull and Machinery
  • Oversee maintenance support for Disney Adventure and other Asia & Pacific vessels, ensuring proper documentation in company-approved maintenance system
  • Provide oversight and management of DCL standards and operations for fuels and IMO IGF Code/regulations, coordinating with Ship Teams, Classification Society, and Vendors
  • Arrange and oversee engine and fuel systems maintenance and conversion planning, Approval Procedure, and Documentation per applicable standards (e.g., IMO SOLAS, IGF Code, Det Norske Veritas Rules)
  • Oversee updating of Engineering documentation for hazardous areas works
