Requirements

  • Experience in developing, analyzing, planning, and implementing supply chain solutions
  • Knowledge of DC layout, rack profiles, technology options, slotting methodology, and other DC aspects
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple distribution centers and with AAP teams
  • Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Skills in creating and maintaining standard work documents and SOPs
  • Capability to manage projects on schedule and within budget
  • Experience in hiring, supervising, coaching, and developing high-performance teams
  • Ability to build business relationships and understand supply chain needs
  • Expertise in process improvement, problem resolution, and productivity barrier removal
  • Knowledge of SKU velocity monitoring, slotting, consolidations, and re-warehousing
  • Skills in analysis, cost justification for capital projects, and metrics/reporting development

Responsibilities

  • Direct line management of Industrial Engineers with dotted line guidance from DC GMs
  • Provide direct supervision of resources for ideation and delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Direct engineers to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget
  • Develop a high-performance team by hiring, communicating expectations, monitoring performance, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and enforcing policies/procedures/productivity standards
  • Create and maintain business relationships to understand supply chain needs and apply industrial engineering solutions
  • Remove productivity barriers through problem resolution, process improvement, and collaborative relationships
  • Work with distribution locations and cross-functional teams to implement process changes and prepare documentation/SOPs
  • Assess issues with operations, develop recommendations, and implement business improvement processes
  • Create an improvement process methodology based on lessons learned, best practices, and customer feedback
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma to drive and sustain continuous improvement
  • Direct development and implementation of ongoing process improvements for world-class operations
  • Partner with Store Operations, DC Operations, and AAP Vendors for customer-focused distribution
  • Proactively monitor SKU velocity and sales events to slot SKUs optimally
  • Evaluate opportunities for SKU consolidations and re-warehousing
  • Develop analysis and cost justification for capital project requests
  • Work with DC and cross-functional departments (including IT) to configure reporting platforms
  • Establish appropriate metrics and reports to guide leadership
