Requirements

Candidates must possess 8+ years of Test Engineering experience, a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, experience collaborating with teams in different countries, and experience working with product-based companies in a fast-paced agile development environment. They should also have experience architecting testing solutions for highly configured and scalable applications, knowledge of SaaS-based applications and CI/CD pipelines, and hands-on experience with open-source automation frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Software Test Engineering will lead the Test Engineering efforts and manage a team of test engineers, ensuring alignment with business goals and collaborating with Development, Product Managers, and other teams to meet project objectives. They will provide technical guidance to the Costa Rican Test Engineering team, design and automate API and UI testing using Python and Robot Frameworks, integrate test cycles with the CI/CD pipeline, foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, investigate and implement infrastructure improvements, lead test efforts for Civic Platform products, establish goals and measurement practices, identify gaps and issues, and be accountable for the successful launch of Civic Platform products.
