Requirements

  • Ability to review, refine, and create department’s QC procedures, checklists, and systems for equipment manufactured at AES facility and by third-party vendors
  • Capability to assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at third-party vendors when required
  • Knowledge to ensure customer’s QC requirements are met
  • Skills to investigate performance gaps and manage corrective actions
  • Ability to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track AES and vendor quality performance
  • Understanding of Airgas and regulatory compliance (e.g., for welding and brazing operations)
  • Competence to issue vendor non-conformance reports when required
  • Ability to perform and sign off on Quality Control checks on finished equipment, photograph equipment, ensure QC paperwork is complete and archived, and solicit approvals prior to packaging and shipment
  • Capacity to conduct and document “Lessons Learned” meetings and address action items
  • Experience training Engineering and Operations personnel on QC processes
  • Awareness of quality initiatives within Airgas and the industry
  • Leadership to promote a culture of Health and Safety excellence
  • Knowledge to ensure AES complies with SAFECOR and AMG policies, including OGSM plan
  • Ability to identify critical activities, develop standard operating procedures, and training programs
  • Competence in issuance and support of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Skills to create and track quarterly Safety Improvement Plan (SIP)
  • Ability to document Good Catches and Timeouts in Intelex System
  • Capacity to organize and document emergency drills
  • Oversight of facility inspections (gas detection systems, fire extinguishers, alarms, lighting, cylinder storage, housekeeping)
  • Leadership of Safety Committee (AES Safety Council) and monthly team safety meetings
  • Ability to implement rotational program for team engagement
  • Competence to issue Hazardous Work Permits (HWP) and facilitate Management of Change (MOC)
  • Support for internal or external compliance audits
  • Ensuring AES training (NTT Electrical Safety, Orbital welding, Brazing, Life Critical, SHIELD, Safe Start, Smith System) occurs and is documented
  • Ability to develop AES technical training modules with SME content for Airgas University
  • Ensuring customer training is documented and archived
  • Leveraging Airgas and Air Liquide departments for training content and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop AES Quality Control (QC), Safety, and Training programs and initiatives
  • Work closely with AES Quality Specialist, AMG HSEQ Department, SAFECOR, and AES Leaders to achieve best-in-class performance
  • In Quality: Review, refine, and create QC procedures, checklists, and systems for AES and vendor equipment
  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at third-party vendors when required
  • Ensure customer QC requirements are met
  • Investigate performance gaps and manage corrective actions
  • Develop KPIs to track AES and vendor quality performance
  • Ensure Airgas and regulatory compliance for welding and brazing operations when required
  • Issue vendor non-conformance reports when required
  • Assist Quality Specialist to perform QC checks, photograph equipment, complete and archive paperwork, and obtain approvals prior to shipment
