Candidates must possess 5+ years of primary care or family medicine experience as a physician with an assigned panel of patients, 2+ years of virtual care experience, an active medical license and Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA), a current, unrestricted MD/DO license in good standing, 1+ years of experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs), not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, and must maintain active Medicare billing status. Strong relationship-building skills, decisiveness, collaboration, and the ability to gain team buy-in are also required, along with tech-savviness, multitasking skills, and a strong customer service focus.
The Manager, Primary Care Physician will coach and mentor clinicians, manage individual performance, conduct regular staff meetings, drive operational improvements and clinician productivity, serve as a strategic partner across the organization, act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership teams, partner with the Clinical Quality Team on QA/QI initiatives, recommend improvements based on clinician feedback and patient satisfaction metrics, deliver feedback to promote guideline adherence and patient safety, provide clinical supervision of record for Nurse Practitioners, assist in leading the NP clinical supervision program, dedicate at least 50% of time to patient care with timely documentation, support the peer review process, audit charts, and deliver clinician feedback, take on administrative projects as needed, and occasional business travel may be required.
