Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 4+ years of experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
  • Strong command of common retail and/or digital metrics such as sell-through, margin, full price realization, weeks of supply, etc
  • Strong product line management understanding and expertise to build, lead and drive a long-term product strategy
  • Proven ability to cultivate innovation and build the future by becoming consumer and product expert combining consumer and market trends with sales and business data
  • Strategic thinking to build and lead mid- and long-term strategies leading and driving a consistent, profitable business with plans that allow us to extend product lifecycle while building new opportunities
  • Solid communication and presentation skills both in Spanish and English
  • Experience developing strong working relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners
  • Great teammate and contributor, with an attitude and excitement to learn new things
  • Strong communication skills and comfort navigating a cross-functional matrix with an emphasis on influencing skills
  • Attention to detail, understanding the importance of consistency

Responsibilities

  • Understand the SPORTS (Nike Basketball, Kobe, Tennis, Golf) consumer as well as the EQ/Accessories business opportunities
  • Generate insights to inform Global and GEO partners about product opportunities and needs
  • Build the best SPORTS & EQ product line for the territory to serve consumers while achieving business goals
  • Lead the entire business but directly work and build the FTW product line (direct report handles APP and EQ/Accessories)
  • Become a consumer and product expert by combining the art and science of merchandising, understanding consumer interests, needs, key moments, preferences, and complementing with historical data and current business performance
  • Gather consumer trends and marketplace insights from in-market seasons
  • Adopt an E2E Mindset to lead and guarantee flawless execution of the plan, ensuring the right product in the right place at the right time
  • Connect directly with GEO counterpart to align territory priorities, needs, opportunities and ensure GEO team provides support
  • Prepare seasonal tools to equip marketplace partners with an understanding of seasonal priorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Sports Merchandising teams in territory and at Geo level, Marketing, Planning, sales, and Sports Marketplace Director)
