Requirements

  • Ability to work with a diverse team of financial professionals from multifaceted backgrounds
  • Report directly to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Skills in financial planning and analysis, including preparing quarterly forecasts, annual/3-year plans, and supporting cost centre and department business partner assumption modelling
  • Expertise in integrating top-down budgeting guidance with bottom-up cost centre rollups, including Workforce Planning, General & Administrative Costs, Investment Related Transaction Costs, External Management Fees, Capital Plan, and Project Finance
  • Capability to assess expenditure drivers and savings levers for fixed, variable, discretionary, and strategic initiative spend
  • Proficiency in gathering data, drivers, and assumptions to develop what-if scenario models and perform multi-scenario analysis
  • Experience in preparing board, executive management, and internal stakeholder presentations, materials, and communications related to results, forecasts, budgets, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze financial performance, identify variances, drivers, and impacts on forecasts and budgets
  • Ability to develop insights, connect to divisional priorities, KPIs, and metrics, and provide recommendations for budget management and mitigation
  • Skills in creating analytical models, spotting trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing decision-useful insights across areas like salaries & benefits, workforce, travel, professional fees, and technology costs
  • Experience managing financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support cost structure insights and strategic decisions
  • Knowledge of peer benchmarking and analysis to provide insights and top-down guidance
  • Ability to contribute to maturing enterprise forecasting and budgeting processes, including change management, best practices, timeline management, and reinforcing cost consciousness culture
  • Proficiency in month-end financial analysis, driver-based variance analysis (actual vs. budget, prior periods, forecast), and creating decision-useful insights
  • Skills in preparing ongoing management reporting, including KPIs, performance metrics, data visualization (dashboards, graphical storytelling), and insights for asset classes, total plan performance, and cost allocations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare base quarterly forecasts and annual/3-year plans for assigned division(s)
  • Support cost centre and department business partner assumption modelling and integration of top-down budgeting with bottom-up rollups
  • Work with Sr. Manager and functional partners to assess expenditure drivers and savings levers
  • Gather data, drivers, and assumptions to develop what-if scenario models and perform multi-scenario analysis for operating and financial decisions
  • Prepare board, executive management recurring and ad-hoc reporting, presentations, and materials
  • Support preparation of internal stakeholder presentations and communications related to results, forecast, budget, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Analyze financial performance of assigned division(s), identifying key drivers of variances and financial implications of business changes
  • Develop “so what, now what” insights, connect to divisional priorities, KPIs, and metrics, and provide recommendations for budget management and mitigation
  • Create analytical models, spot trends, identify risks and opportunities, and generate decision-useful insights for stakeholders
  • Manage financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and insights into cost structures for prioritization and strategic decisions
  • Support peer benchmarking and related analysis to provide insights, top-down guidance, and drive business outcomes
  • Contribute to maturing enterprise forecasting and budgeting processes, including change management, best practices, timeline management, and cost culture reinforcement
  • Prepare month-end financial analysis for assigned division(s), including driver-based variance analysis and decision-useful insights
  • Prepare ongoing management reporting, including KPIs, performance metrics, data visualizations (dashboards, graphical storytelling), and insights for asset classes, total plan performance, divisional/departmental results, and cost allocations
