Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in healthcare licensing and credentialing, provider onboarding, and ideally within a fast-growing telehealth or multi-state healthcare environment. A deep knowledge of licensure and credentialing requirements for MDs, NPs, and RNs across all U.S. states is essential, along with proven ability to build or optimize scalable systems supporting hundreds of clinicians across multiple states. Experience with credentialing databases and platforms such as CAQH, Nursys, Verisys, or Medallion is required. Strong project management skills, meticulous attention to detail, comfort managing complex workflows and sensitive data, and a clear communication style are also necessary. Experience managing direct reports is a bonus.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Licensing & Credentialing will own and oversee the full licensing and credentialing program for Ro’s provider workforce, including MDs, NPs, and RNs across all 50 states and DC. They will develop, implement, and maintain scalable systems for provider onboarding, state license acquisition and renewal, and credentialing with payors or partners. Responsibilities include optimizing supervision protocols for Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, monitoring adherence to licensing and compliance policies, and investigating instances of non-compliance. The role also involves acting as the primary point of contact for state licensing boards, certification entities, credentialing organizations, and vendors, leading cross-functional projects to expand provider licensure footprint, and preparing for and supporting audits by maintaining rigorous records. Additionally, they will manage and mentor a small team responsible for administrative licensing/credentialing tasks and partner with Legal, People Ops, Clinical, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end provider compliance.
