Responsibilities

Provide game design leadership across portfolio of licensed games
Manage internal team of game designers, including mentoring and providing guidance
Partner with product development, marketing, brand relations, and external game partners
Provide game design/narrative guidance and brand feedback to external development partners
Serve as point person for game design and narrative submissions and discussions
Leverage best-in-class examples on target platforms and genres to guide gameplay and narrative through Disney & Pixar lens
Oversee game design & narrative quality of projects
Work with Creative Department lead on goals, priorities, and project progress
Share best practices to foster inclusive creativity and elevate game design and storytelling
Identify opportunities to improve processes and pipelines for design team
Serve as internal game critic for Disney & Pixar Games, focusing on game design and narrative
Lead internal game design/narrative initiatives based on leadership direction
Represent game design and narrative on highest complexity projects as authority on Disney & Pixar worlds, stories, and characters
Manage team to oversee game design and narrative assessments throughout product lifecycle (ideation to release to live operations)
Provide editorial feedback and lead discussions on game design documentation, gameplay concepts, features, LiveOps plans, and playable builds
Review and provide actionable recommendations on story arcs, beats, and scripts
Proactively identify areas of risk affecting product quality, story, and player experience; provide solutions
Maintain familiarity with current games, industry trends, popular features, genres, platforms, retention, and monetization techniques
Independently balance workload
