Knowledge of US GAAP for soft close, hard-close audits, and annual financial analysis
Expertise in SAP for book closures and entries
Understanding of internal controls, SOX, and ICFR
Familiarity with statutory audits, local regulations in Nepal and India, and CSR compliance
Ability to analyze revenue contracts, tax notices, and SOD conflicts
Willingness to travel 20% of the time
Capability to sit continuously for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)

Responsibilities

Preparation and submission of month-end corporate reporting requirements and related monthly workings
Conducting US GAAP soft close & hard-close audits and preparing annual financial analysis for corporate submission
Preparation of Quarterly/Annual accounts, handling statutory audits, preparing necessary schedules, and periodic ledger reviews with guidance to stakeholders
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual variance analysis on Ledger, Functional Area, and Nature levels, with discussions and evidence-backed reasons with stakeholders
Handling Nepal Branch for monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions, including Local Statutory audit and proper closure of books with SAP entries
Compilation of Annual Report (Financial and Non-Financial) with multi-level reviews, guiding reviewers, and resolving queries/suggestions
Preparation of detailed Q&A for Annual General Meeting on financials expected from shareholders
Responsibility for Internal controls/SOX/ICFR, including support and review of KPMG internal audits, corporate audit support, and EY SOX/ICFR audits
Ensuring compliance on CSR obligations and monitoring changes in regulations for compliance
Supporting business in analyzing revenue contracts and suggesting accounting solutions, assisting tax teams with notices and evidence, resolving SOD conflicts with mitigation responses, and providing financial certificates for tenders
