Knowledge of various engineering, manufacturing and/or maintenance standards and practices
Strong analytical skills
Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages
2 years of technical school, an apprenticeship program, a junior college diploma, or the equivalent in on-the-job training

Responsibilities

Perform analytical process steps in the Caterpillar Quality Management System (QMS) and provide feedback for continuous process improvement, including collecting/analyzing quality data and investigating nonconformance
Execute global quality processes as defined in the Caterpillar QMS
Coordinate and conduct internal quality audits
Administer area metrics
Draft and submit local training and documentation as necessary
Support certification activities
Support during external ISO9001 & CQMS audits, working with External & Internal Auditors
Support Audit for Customer Acceptance Validation (CAV), as required by Process Compliance Supervisor
Liaise with corporate teams & Global Process Owners (e.g., PRIM team & EtQ Reliance Team) on opportunities for improvement, management system concerns & questions
Coordinate various Quality training programs as well as the sample part program
Identify, analyze, and resolve non-conformance from CQM audits
Support the corrective action of non-conformities at BCP Desford & Stockton, including coordination and/or creation of controlled processes & procedures for functional departments
Investigate, develop, and implement electronic clerical or data handling systems to increase division capability and efficiency
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ETQ Reliance (Document Control, Calibration & Maintenance, Access Management, Delegation, Meetings Management & other modules) supporting functional departments within BCP Desford & Stockton
Provide technical expertise in the analysis, development, and implementation of new and revised systems and instructional methods
Serve as SME for CQMS & ISO9001 for functional departments within BCP Desford & Stockton
Act as Lead trainer on ETQ for BCP Desford & Stockton
Provide interpretation and problem-solving advice to others inside and outside the department
Monitor adherence to quality standards and develop action plans for addressing below standard performance, impacting goals like Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Process Quality, Internal Quality Certification, and ISO 9000 Certification
