Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or a related field
6+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical modeling and forecasting tools
Experience with ERP/Demand Planning systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Proficiency in advanced Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred)

Responsibilities

Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and external factors to develop accurate demand forecasts for products and regions
Develop and maintain statistical models and demand planning tools to predict future demand and identify trends
Assist in creating short-term and long-term demand forecasts aligned with company objectives and market conditions
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover insights related to demand patterns, seasonality, product performance, and market dynamics
Generate and deliver regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to stakeholders
Monitor demand and supply variations, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks
Collaborate with supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to align demand planning with business strategies, promotions, and seasonal fluctuations
Act as a data expert in demand planning meetings, offering data-backed insights and recommendations
Support inventory management by analyzing stock levels and ensuring optimal inventory to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts
Recommend adjustments to inventory strategies based on demand trends, seasonality, and product lifecycle
Continuously evaluate and improve demand planning tools, processes, and methodologies
Assist in the implementation and optimization of demand planning software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate new data sources into demand planning models and enhance forecasting accuracy
Track key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, demand variability, and order fulfillment rates
Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor and report on KPIs
Analyze root causes of demand forecast errors and collaborate with teams to improve accuracy
Implement best practices and innovative approaches in demand planning and forecasting
Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure product availability and optimized inventory levels across the Indian market
