Requirements

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced subject matter knowledge in electrical/electronic design, CPLD, and PCB layout
  • Experience managing exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors (typically 8-15 direct reports)
  • Ability to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies
  • Accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction, and people management
  • Experience in a single country or sub-region management role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the CPLD and PCB Layout team to deliver high-quality design solutions for server products
  • Oversee the end-to-end development of CPLD and layout designs, including debugging and validation for server motherboards, add-on cards, and backplanes
  • Work collaboratively with hardware and firmware teams to ensure cohesive design integration
  • Drive recruitment and team development strategies to build and retain a high-performing team
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across geographically distributed teams
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with design specifications, schedules, and quality standards
  • Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing on new and modified designs
  • Assist in architecture development and assessment; evaluate reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production
  • Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication
  • Provide guidance on process improvements and recommend changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy
  • Plan, manage, and monitor operational/tactical activities of staff
  • Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations on deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs
  • Provide people-care management, including hiring, setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
