Requirements

Ability to manage professional and non-exempt employees, including conducting work performance reviews
Experience in leading teams of Software Development Engineers
Knowledge of software and web application planning, design, implementation, and updates
Capability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with flexibility for nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary
Understanding of Comcast's Operating Principles and commitment to customer experience, teamwork, learning, inclusion, and driving results

Responsibilities

Oversee the planning and designing of software and web applications, including new programs, enhancements, and modifications
Provide guidance to Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements
Serve as primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams
Direct implementation initiatives for new software products and applications
Organize software update process for existing applications and coordinate the roll-out of software releases
Manage all deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets
Implement performance metrics, prepare periodic reports, monitor and track project progress, and report findings to leadership
Ensure engineers keep current with technological developments, monitor competitive applications and products
Develop proposals, hardware/software changes, and other capital expenditure projects
Manage team performance, conduct reviews, mentor, train, and develop staff to adhere to company standards
Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing
Develop and administer performance standards for the organizational unit and processes to drive department efficiencies
Assist in the development and meeting of departmental budget
Perform other duties as assigned
