  • Working knowledge of Company products and specifications
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability and skill to MIG & TIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery
  • Ability to measure accurately
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment
  • Effective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skills
  • Ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator
  • Computer literate
  • Must be experienced and reliable in using a welder and welding product

Responsibilities

  • Operate welder and welding machinery and tools
  • Complete work area set up
  • Fit parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
  • Operate equipment and tools as required to complete assembly process
  • Prevent and control waste of raw material
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
  • Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
  • Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Provide basic TPM to equipment and complete TPM paperwork when required
  • Maintain production records as required
  • Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to the customer's specifications
  • Secure and maintain correct component parts and supplies required for the operation
