Minimum of 2 years experience in extrusion or three or more years in industrial maintenance
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Adequate computer skills to use SAP to generate work orders, track labor, and consume materials
Ability to perform physical demands: regularly stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms; frequently walk, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, talk/hear; occasionally sit, climb/balance; lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally; specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, adjust focus)
Ability to work in environment exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock
Maintain high safety standards and housekeeping standards
Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision
Be available for occasional unscheduled overtime
Responsibilities
Make all die changes
Setup all downstream equipment for size pipe to be run
Cut rubber for tanks and bellers
Build heads
Pre-heat tooling
Ensure all downstream equipment is in proper working order
Maintain inventory of tooling and supplies
Electrically wire all heads
Responsible for all size change of dies and downstream equipment
Start up of line after changeover
Getting product in specification before turning the line over to production
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter inspection and replacement, oil changes, motor and pump replacements, plumbing, painting, cleaning, and any other mechanical and electrical task as assigned
