Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 3 years previous experience with machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing environment
  • Two-year technical degree, or related certificate program, preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, support equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of Hydraulic Systems Repair
  • Must have a learner mentality – willing to increase scope and knowledge of the position
  • Strong team player
  • Experience repairing Milacron equipment is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • RCRA Training: Correct Disposition of Waste, Correct use of HW Satellites, Understanding of RCRA program and importance

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and installs process equipment including injection molding presses, molds, grinders, pumps, motors, blenders, compressors, boilers, lighting, electrical systems, conveying systems, robots, automatic handling equipment, assembly machinery
  • Maintains and installs process piping, valves, timers, thermocouples, fittings, gauges, solenoids, switches etc. and all types of hydraulic, pneumatic, steam and air systems
  • Sets up, removes, inspects and maintains molds of all sizes and complexities in an automatic or semi-automatic press so that molds and presses are ready for production
  • Performs diversified and skilled work using a high degree of independent initiative and good judgement
  • Improves and adapts processes where necessary
