Requirements

  • Conducts all work in accordance with sound safety practices, proper work methods or procedures, and wears all required PPE
  • Complies with all environmental laws and regulations for chemicals, lubricants, disposal, and storage
  • Performs work in accordance with all quality systems requirements and fully supports Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Willing and able to conduct routine safety checks on production equipment
  • Ability to service and maintain production-related equipment (e.g., motors, conveyors, vibratory fillers, tub washer, flow wrapper)
  • Ability to install new production equipment
  • Provides guidance and training to machine operators to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals to troubleshoot and assess functionality
  • Quickly learns to properly maintain and repair new equipment brought onsite
  • Executes preventative maintenance plans on all equipment as scheduled by the Maintenance Manager
  • Maintains records of PMs and emergency work in the CMMS for equipment history
  • Identifies spare parts needs and communicates with the Maintenance Manager for ordering to maintain uptime
  • Keeps the facility in good working order and in compliance with all safety requirements
  • Coordinates work orders for facility improvements and repairs (e.g., dock door and leveler repairs, plumbing, building access control)
  • Oversees contractors for facility repairs (e.g., air compressor, hot water heater, fire suppression system)
  • Documents facility work in the Home Chef CMMS to maintain history
  • Maintains records of compliance-related equipment (e.g., pH probes, condenser water treatment, ammonia sensors)
  • Keeps the maintenance shop audit-ready, including proper storage of flammable lubricants and records of critical safety equipment
  • Organizes shop tools and spare parts for all shifts
  • Communicates proactively with the Maintenance Manager about spare parts ordering
  • Works under pressure during emergencies
