Requirements

  • 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent experience
  • Education preferred: industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school (in lieu of experience)
  • Basic computer skills for logging information, processing work orders, and using CMMS
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; lift 20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work in confined/tall spaces, walk, climb ladders, operate lifts, bend, stoop
  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, pulling; frequent overhead work
  • Ability to work in temperatures from -25°F to over 100°F (inside/outside)
  • Must reside in the US (no sponsorship)
  • Prior Tyson Team Members not considered

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision for safe and effective equipment operation
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment
  • Interact effectively with plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals
  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
