Requirements

  • Serve as the on-site SME for all RTH equipment (Multivacs, ovens, blast chillers, skillets, sleeve printers, and related assets)
  • Expertise in performing and overseeing preventive maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, and breakdown analysis
  • Ability to lead maintenance activities and train operators, maintenance technicians, and team members on RTH systems
  • Proficiency in CMMS management for work orders, PM tracking, equipment history, and spare parts inventory
  • Capability to coordinate contractors, vendors, and site visits while ensuring compliance with safety, food safety policies, GMPs, and regulatory standards
  • Experience in supporting startups of new equipment (e.g., sleeve printers, dishwashers, Hobart mixers)
  • Knowledge of SOPs, continuous improvement initiatives, and equipment health monitoring/reporting
  • Ability to participate in meetings, drive reliability improvements, reduce costs, and collaborate with teams (e.g., Sanitation, FSQA, RTH process engineer)
  • Follow facility GMPs, enforce them, and support SQF food safety and quality programs
  • Availability for 1st shift (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, off Sunday & Monday) and 10% travel

Responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee weekly PMs and major PMs on RTH equipment; plan additional work during PMs for recurring issues
  • Lead breakdown analysis, documenting context, actions, and results for emergency work orders
  • Support startups of new RTH equipment (e.g., sleeve printers, dishwashers, Hobart mixers)
  • Provide recommendations for PM content and frequency improvements
  • Monitor and report equipment health in daily/weekly RTH meetings; assist in reviewing/revising SOPs
  • Train and mentor maintenance technicians on RTH competency; guide machine operators on operation and care; share troubleshooting best practices
  • Own RTH CMMS management (work orders, PM tracking, equipment history); manage spare parts inventory; ensure accurate records of repairs, PMs, and contractor work
  • Coordinate vendor/contractor visits and work; ensure compliance with safety, food safety, GMPs, and regulations
  • Participate in weekly maintenance meetings; support continuous improvement projects
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce costs, support RTH fulfillment; work with Sanitation/FSQA on cleaning procedures
  • Follow and enforce facility GMPs; support SQF food safety and quality programs
