Comfortable with a wide range of tools, machines, and equipment

Experience managing industrial HVAC/R systems (certification a plus)
Strong project management skills

Problem solver who can tackle unfamiliar tasks with resourcefulness
Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 8 hours
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in hot and cold environments, outside in all weather conditions, in confined spaces, poorly lighted areas, on uneven/slippery surfaces, and around forklift traffic
Reliable, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Coordinating maintenance and repairs using internal staff or external vendors
Supervise maintenance staff (directly supervises 1-4 employees; plans, assigns, and approves work; coordinates schedules; hires and discharges employees)
Manage the preventative maintenance calendar and schedule to ensure reliable operation of facilities and equipment and compliance with regulatory requirements
Partnering with other functions to manage prioritization of maintenance, repair, and construction work
Maintaining documentation of maintenance and repairs
Maintaining a book of Standard Operating Procedures for equipment
Training machine operators and staff managers on proper equipment usage
Manage relationships with key vendors that service equipment
Maintaining a well-equipped and capable Maintenance Shop to respond quickly to equipment issues
Managing a maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and coordinating larger repair costs with finance
Participating in the evaluation of new equipment purchases, installation, and run-in of new equipment
Report any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Follow and uphold procedures in the Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, SQF system, and other 3rd party programs/audits
Take necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed
Ensure a trained designee is appointed to cover for absences or vacancies
Other duties as assigned
