Requirements

Must have one (1) year of work experience in industrial maintenance
Able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision
Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision
Must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, stoop, climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds
Ability to lift up to 70lbs
Ability to work in varying temperatures (dusty, warm, cold, humid) influenced by outside ambient conditions

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction
Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems
Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
