Requirements

  • Ability to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and other maintenance-related areas
  • Ability to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders, fill out daily documentation, perform preventative maintenance routines, confirm time, record daily activities, and create equipment history
  • Ability to read and write where required, communicate with management and co-workers, process paperwork, and use math for work-related computations (e.g., machinery, fluid capacities)
  • Willingness to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs., climb stairs and ladders daily
  • Willingness to work in cold environments (-10 to 80 degrees), weather-exposed areas (rain, heat, cold, insects), wet/slippery conditions, on concrete floors, in loud noise requiring hearing protection, and stand for 8-12 hours
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to complete all required job training
  • 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or education
  • Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history
