Requirements

  • Strong experience in designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment
  • Strong knowledge of programming in C, C++, JCL and REXX on z/OS
  • Good knowledge of build and test automation
  • Good knowledge of Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills on mainframe applications
  • Must be proficient with problem determination, analysis and resolution
  • Experience in managing source code with Git repository or any other version control system
  • Preferred
  • Good knowledge of Assembler coding on z/OS
  • Knowledge on IBM z/OS security systems like RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret
  • Exposure to Java

Responsibilities

  • Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust code
  • Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements
  • Effectively collaborate with peers across different timezones on designs, code reviews, and testing
  • Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features
  • Fast learner and self-directed, flexible enough to work on new technologies as well as some legacy components
