High school diploma or equivalency preferred (pre-employment assessment required if not held)
Trade school for machining practices preferred
Math skills to perform basic calculations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to read measuring equipment (calipers/micrometers)
Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye, ear, and foot protection
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds

Responsibilities

Run production on CNC machining center
Check and monitor parts being run
Capability to read basic dimensions and tolerances of a blueprint
Ensure quality standards are being met
Produce the proper amount of parts per machine cycle time
Deburr and blend all parts that are machined
Perform daily maintenance on machines (maintain fluid levels, empty chips, wipe down machine to remove coolant, dust, and debris)
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Fill out paperwork properly and maintain as necessary
Attendance (always here and on time)
Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines and conventional machines to fabricate parts
Load parts in machine, cycle machine, detect malfunctions (e.g., worn or damaged cutting tools)
Run production lots
Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs
