Journeyman Certificate with 3–5 years experience in a manufacturing environment or Technical/Vocational School diploma with 5–8 years of machine repair or machinist related work experience
Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
Ability to pass test to obtain Fork Lift license
Good understanding of pharmaceutical/bio-technology industry and GMP manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities
Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints for installation/repair of equipment
Use of precision measuring devices and machinist’s shop tools
Able to lift 40lbs unassisted
Ability to obtain and maintain aseptic certification (gowning requires balancing on one leg briefly)
No known allergy to Penicillin or Cephalosporin
Ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods
Regular motion of bending, twisting, reaching
Ability to climb ladders or use powered lifts
Ability to be on feet for extended periods
Ability to travel between campuses
Good communication, organizational skills, and ability to interact with all levels of organization

Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, and modifications to production, utility, and facility equipment (e.g., fillers, pick & place robots, cartoners, case packers, pumps, air compressors, boilers)
Provide training on maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM)
Serve as maintenance advisor for projects, providing input on equipment design, parts/material selection, documentation, testing, problem solving, maintenance requirements, project scope, and follow-up
Assess priorities and make decisions for troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment operations; work with operations to determine root cause and corrective actions
Conduct assembly, repair, and proactive maintenance for packaging, manufacturing, utility, and facility equipment/systems in a cost-effective manner
Proactively review equipment operation to identify deficiencies or improvements to increase OEE
