Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months of work history
  • Willing and able to lift 20-67lbs occasionally and hold 5-77lbs continuously
  • Willing and able to push and pull rack on rail system ranging from 65lbs up to 1400lbs
  • Able to push/pull/lift with arms above shoulder level up to 77lbs
  • Perform repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms, and hands with up to 50 repetitions per minute
  • Visually inspect product
  • Work with different spices
  • Work in cold and damp environments (22-40°F temperatures) for 8-10 hours per day
  • Stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day
  • Bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the day
  • Reach high and low levels frequently
  • Work with both hands and arms simultaneously throughout the day
  • Use hands, fingers, and wrists to grasp, pull, and flex
  • Climb step ladders and/or stairs
  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
  • Computer skills (if applicable)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to solve simple math
  • Lock out Training is required
  • Must be able to become Forklift Certified (if applicable)
  • Willing to take and pass various tests regarding safety and food safety practices
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment

Responsibilities

  • Operate touch illustrated operating panel, safeties, and switches
  • Make small mechanical adjustments
  • Use handheld scanner
  • Visually inspect product for any deficiencies
  • Set up and tear down area at the beginning and end of processing
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
  • May operate forklift
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
  • May use SAP if transferred/rotated
  • Other duties as assigned
