Requirements

  • Ability to use PC-based applications, including Mainstar, Outlook, and Microsoft Office (knowledge normally acquired through high school or equivalent experience)
  • Normal attention with periods of high concentration intermittently to operate machinery approximately 50% of time
  • Walking/standing approximately 70% of time
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds (25 pounds repeatedly, 40 pounds maximum) approximately 15% of time
  • Repetitive overhead work approximately 10% of time
  • Repetitive stooping, forward bending, and crouching approximately 5% of time
  • Manual dexterity: use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate manufacturing equipment, meters, chain hoists, automatic drills, general hand tools, and to record written information
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and hear for safety purposes
  • Ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety; color and depth perception required
  • Exposure to plant environments with dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control

Responsibilities

  • Operate Fabrication equipment to produce parts (Brakes, Shear, MG Plasma, and Laser)
  • Inspect work for compliance to quality standards
  • Operate various types of equipment (e.g., Hyster, cranes, jib booms, hand plasma)
  • Follow standard Work Instructions to ensure proper quality
  • Read and interpret part drawings
  • Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, square, and protractor)
  • Use basic PC skills to operate CNC controllers and complete work orders through Automated Data Collection software
  • Lift 25 pounds repeatedly (40 pounds maximum)
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform daily PM’s on machines and keep machines wiped down and clean
  • Perform other various duties as may be assigned
