  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to interact with internal teams (Third-Party Providers, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Operations, Finance, Operations, Carrier Operations, Division Logistics) and external customers/providers
  • Compliance with FDA, OSHA, Abbott policies and procedures, and ethical standards
  • Experience or ability to manage transportation operational and procurement strategies while maintaining cost profile and customer service expectations

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist execution of transportation supply chain processes to meet/exceed customer expectations and division goals
  • Schedule freight and plan daily tactical work for truckload (TL) shipments (supplier to manufacturing, manufacturing to warehouse, warehouse to warehouse)
  • Communicate with carriers and customer service via computer and phone
  • Perform constant follow-up on shipments and carrier performance
  • Proactively coordinate on-time delivery for assigned plants
  • Support resolution of situations jeopardizing ARDx delivery performance or customer PO arrival dates
  • Support Logistics team projects meeting division goals, customer service, and cost requirements
  • Maintain routing guide compliance to achieve cost profile goals
  • Track inventory movements to/from warehouse locations
  • Review Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) from shipping sites for accuracy/completeness and record in SharePoint tracking file
  • Create and manage orders to warehouse for inventory transfers
  • Attend daily conference calls with warehouse teams to align on scheduling
  • Attend carrier operational meetings to provide performance feedback
  • Review and provide feedback on carrier performance for managed sites
  • Maintain multiple logistics tracking files on SharePoint to monitor freight movements and provider cost/performance
  • Identify and execute process improvement projects
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for customer fine reduction
  • Document Transportation Procedures in Global Logistics Procedure SharePoint
