Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operational/management support role
Ability to use a ratchet type securement system
Ability to perform very heavy work – routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs
Ability to perform work during prolonged standing and walking occasionally exceeding 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion
Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities
Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Familiarity with SAP highly desirable
Must be able to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to perform mathematical calculations

Responsibilities

Safely deliver cylinders containing compressed gases and cryogenic liquids to customer locations
Deliver compressed gas and liquid cylinders to customer labs, storage, and loading areas
Record deliveries and pick-ups on a handheld scanner and obtain signatures from customers for receipt purposes
Return empty cylinders to loading areas and coordinate pick up of cylinders by the delivery driver
Perform daily staging, loading, unloading, and verifying of cylinder quantities
Provide driver support, daily communication, and job completions
Safely load/unload compressed gas and liquid cylinders to and from delivery vehicles
Report any cylinder shortages or inventory discrepancies to supervisor
Perform daily housekeeping and contribute as directed by supervisor
Fill customer’s cryogenic liquid dewars
Replace lot stickers prior to refilling customer’s dewars
Perform minor cylinder maintenance and repair activities
Troubleshoot customer issues
Comply with all state and federal laws, regulations, and safety procedures
Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported to management
Operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment
Maintain neat, clean, and orderly appearance for customer-facing interactions
