Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics software
  • Strong understanding of customs and compliance regulations
  • Conversational English
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Analytical mindset for cost and performance optimization
  • Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management tools

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inbound shipments and assure compliance with plant requirements for day-to-day operations
  • Monitor delivery timelines and resolve delays proactively
  • Manage and resolve claims when they occur
  • Act as liaison between plant personnel and logistics providers
  • Control and optimize the use of expedited transportation, including reduction strategies to minimize premium costs
  • Propose, develop, and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for GM's supply chain when required
  • Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, invoices, customs forms)
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
  • Validate and approve invoices from logistics providers
  • Track logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Implement KPIs for carrier performance and delivery accuracy
  • Act as the point of contact for shipment issues
  • Provide timely updates to internal teams and customers
  • Resolve Cority incidents in a timely manner
  • Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures
  • Promote GM's values and make customer-focused decisions
