Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, or a related field
2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination
Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics software
Strong understanding of customs and compliance regulations
Conversational English
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Analytical mindset for cost and performance optimization
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management tools
Ability to make quick decisions in the event of contingencies

Responsibilities

Monitor inbound shipments and assure compliance with plant requirements for day-to-day operations
Monitor delivery timelines and resolve delays proactively
Manage and resolve claims when they occur
Act as liaison between plant personnel and logistics providers
Control and optimize the use of expedited transportation, including reduction strategies to minimize premium costs
Propose, develop, and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for GM's supply chain when required
Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, invoices, customs forms)
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
Validate and approve invoices from logistics providers
Track logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Implement KPIs for carrier performance and delivery accuracy
Act as the point of contact for shipment issues
Provide timely updates to internal teams and customers
Resolve Cority incidents in a timely manner
Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures
Promote GM's values and make customer-focused decisions
