Five (5) years of progressively responsible court, legal, logistics, or probation experience including two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience
OR Combined Education and Experience Qualifications: An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis
Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
Knowledge of implementing and managing administrative and logistics functions, goals, policies, and procedures within an organization
Knowledge of customer service standards and practices
Knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices
Skill in supervising and evaluating assigned staff and coordinating the work of subordinates
Skill in the use of computer applications, including email, spreadsheets, databases and word processing software
Skill in decision making by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choosing the most appropriate one
Ability to plan, organize and implement activities in a team environment
Ability to use effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks at one time with numerous interruptions in a high volume, fast paced environment
Ability to think critically, be accurate, organized, and have attention to detail
Ability to communicate information and ideas, both orally and in writing, so others will understand in a way that is appropriate to the needs of the audience

Responsibilities
Manages the department’s equipment, fleet, inventory, and provides direction and oversight to the equipment unit staff within Juvenile Probation
Monitors daily operations of the equipment unit to ensure goals and objectives of the department are being met
Supervises, organizes, assesses, and evaluates the workload of staff
