Candidates must have over 5 years of personal finance and/or loans reporting/editing experience, with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while delivering quality content. Experience reporting and/or editing on auto loans, student loans, personal loans, and business loans is required, along with experience editing and writing articles on financial topics. Familiarity with affiliate revenue operations and search engine optimization is preferred, and ideal candidates will have experience working in a news environment.
The deputy editor will ensure articles meet high journalistic quality standards and responsibly guide readers in making loan decisions. This includes performing close copy edits on loan articles, working with writers to ensure accuracy and adherence to style guides, and regularly updating evergreen articles for relevance. The role involves writing and editing content that upholds editorial standards for independent and unbiased reporting, ensuring accuracy, and proactively collaborating with partners to provide useful service to readers.
