Responsibilities

  • Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move and position items onto the vehicle
  • Inspects for damages, defects, or any other issues that could impact product quality and reports concerns to supervisors
  • Arranges load requirements to maximize trailer use and minimize imbalance, unnecessary movement, and damage
  • Conducts preliminary safety checks of equipment, checks orders, and verifies trailer size and number
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Contributes to maintaining accurate inventory records, tracks stock levels, monitors product availability, and ensures accurate record-keeping
  • Ensures correct products, quantities, and specifications match order requirements by checking labels, SKU numbers, and other identifying information
  • Determines that weight distribution on the truck is balanced to maintain stability and prevent accidents
  • Coordinates with warehouse personnel, drivers, or other loaders to ensure smooth loading operations
