Requirements

  • Deep experience in oncology and across multiple brands and therapeutic areas
  • Strong writing sensibilities combined with an analytical and strategic mind
  • Experience with MLR reviews and navigating internal teams and diverse client audiences
  • Ability to pivot between high-level strategy and hands-on execution of deliverables
  • Experienced supervisor and capable mentor for direct reports
  • Client-facing expertise, including leading presentations and handling client comments/changes
  • Background in writing for healthcare audiences (HCPs, patients, caregivers, etc.)
  • Ability to develop content that captures interest, builds trust in a highly regulated life sciences/health sector
  • Collaborative with multidisciplinary teams (art/visual design, client services, performance marketers, data/analytics, strategy)
  • Experience creating unique content for emerging media and tech, especially healthcare platforms
  • Skilled in writing/evaluating copy based on clinical product information, finding narratives in clinical data and prescribing information
  • Confident interaction with Life Sciences brand marketers, healthcare system/providers, and patient audiences
  • Ability to quickly become familiar with brand, science, and strategic issues per project
  • Passion for making a difference in patients’ lives and thriving in a fluid, fast-paced, energetic environment

Responsibilities

  • Participates in strategic and tactical meetings to develop effective campaigns and activations reflecting clients’ objectives
  • Delves into data and develops strong working knowledge of claims and messages, collaborating with client stakeholders to develop, approve, and incorporate net-new data
  • Contributes innovative ideas and tactics appropriate to client marketing strategy
  • Brainstorms campaign ideas with colleagues
  • Plans, develops, and writes materials as assigned, working closely with medical colleagues to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Contributes to thought leadership
  • Partners with art partners, art direction/visual designers, and other creative team members to develop engaging materials that maintain scientific accuracy, compelling campaign creative, and achieve client’s strategic imperatives
  • Partners with internal team and provides onsite support at key client meetings or events
  • Attends and participates in MLR reviews
