Requirements

  • Proficiency in LiDAR technology
  • Proficiency in CAD software (such as MicroStation/TopoDOT, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with GIS applications
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
  • High level of accuracy in data processing and design
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Capable of troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions
  • Associate’s degree (preferred)
  • Previous experience in Geospatial data collection, working with LiDAR data in a CAD environment or surveying (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain LiDAR sensors mounted on ground-based vehicles, static-based, or drones
  • Ensure proper functioning of all equipment, including GPS units and cameras
  • Conduct field surveys to capture LiDAR data in various terrains and conditions
  • Collaborate with LiDAR team lead to plan survey routes or flight paths
  • Use CAD software (such as MicroStation/TopoDOT, AutoCAD) to create detailed maps, plans, and 3D models based on calibrated LiDAR data and imagery
  • Develop topographic maps, terrain models, and other graphical representations
  • Perform quality control and ensure the accuracy of the data
