Position Overview

PolicyMe is modernizing the insurance industry and is seeking a motivated Licensed Life Insurance Advisor to join our remote-first, Toronto-based startup. In this role, you will be at the forefront of educating customers on their insurance needs, handling complex cases, and guiding them through our product offerings. You will manage all inbound leads from initial contact through policy application, ensuring customers receive the coverage they need and a positive experience via phone, SMS, and email.

Unlike traditional roles, you will not be required to prospect; all leads are inbound and supported by a strong marketing and growth team. You will also have the chance to contribute to organizational discussions on streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, and developing innovative insurance products, allowing you to be part of industry disruption.

Reports To: Customer Success Manager

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 (including OTE)

Responsibilities

  • Educate prospective clients on life, critical illness, and health & dental insurance options using PolicyMe’s digital platform and product knowledge.
  • Engage with customers to answer questions and guide them through the buying process.
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of 300–350 inbound leads per month, with no cold-calling or prospecting required.
  • Utilize HubSpot to track conversations, follow-ups, and application stages.
  • Recommend appropriate coverage based on customer needs, employing a clear, honest, and consultative approach.
  • Maintain high-quality service standards across phone, email, and SMS channels.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding their needs, product details, and the insurance process.
  • Collaborate with teammates and team leads to improve workflows and elevate the customer experience.
  • Ensure every prospective customer receives PolicyMe's signature honest, helpful, and human service.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to obtain licensing in Quebec if not already licensed there.
  • Valid Life and Accident & Sickness insurance agent license with LLQP.
  • 1-4 years of experience in insurance or a related industry.
  • Proven experience managing a high-volume pipeline with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets in a consultative sales environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage objections and clearly explain complex concepts.
  • Natural conversationalist who easily builds rapport and makes clients feel heard.
  • High empathy and discretion, particularly when discussing personal or financial matters.
  • Coachable with a strong desire to learn and improve.
  • Growth mindset with the ability to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates ownership over work and pipeline management.
  • Alignment with PolicyMe’s values and commitment to prioritizing customer interests.

  • This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).
