  • Hands-on, detail-oriented mindset suitable for learning machining skills

Responsibilities

  • Join the Prototype Machinist Team at the Peterborough facility (PE1 5FQ)
  • Embed in a team from day one, solving real-world problems through on-the-job training and college-based learning (at least 20% of working hours)
  • Assist in interpreting complex designs and producing prototype mechanisms, tools, and components for in-house testing of engines, components, and future technologies
  • Gain hands-on experience using a variety of tools, systems, and machines in the on-site Research and Development facility
  • Support prototype creation and manufacture a wide range of components, including shafts, tooling, and prototype equipment
  • Complete nationally recognised qualifications through the Machining Technician / Skills England standard: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge) 61007936
  • Upon completion, apply for appropriate level of EngTech (Engineering Technician) professional registration status
