Requirements

Expertise in Brazilian legal, regulatory, and compliance matters, particularly in banking, payments, and financial industry (e.g., BACEN, PIX, Elo, Mastercard, Visa)
Ability to work effectively as part of multi-national legal and compliance teams (regulatory, AML, data protection)
Experience collaborating with key stakeholders, including operational functions, internal control functions, and C-level executives on local and global levels
Capability to manage simple and complex legal and compliance matters for Brazil business and Unlimit Group interests

Responsibilities

Manage and provide ongoing legal and regulatory compliance coverage for the Brazil business and wider global business
Research and provide actionable advice on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters in Brazil and globally
Provide ongoing coverage for legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across business and operational purposes of various significance levels
Identify applicable requirements and ensure compliance within prescribed timelines
Handle/participate in licensing, participation, and registration processes with competent authorities (e.g., BACEN)
Draft, prepare, review, and negotiate internal documents (policies, guidelines, frameworks, procedures, manuals, instructions) on regulatory compliance, AML, data protection, security, governance, etc
Supervise Unlimit Brazil business compliance
Handle participation/membership with local and international payment systems, networks, and counterparties (e.g., Mastercard, Visa, Elo, PIX)
Perform contractual review and management of relations with banks, payment systems, and networks
Design and handle in-house legal/compliance projects and cross-departmental projects; monitor statuses, implementations, and provide solutions
Advise on, ensure, and monitor due reporting obligations and communications with competent authorities (e.g., BACEN) and counterparties
Draft, prepare, review, and negotiate documents (agreements, resolutions, applications, forms, questionnaires, letters, explanations)
Draft standardised agreements and templates related to Unlimit’s business
Manage corporate matters (establishing, record-keeping, updating, filings) for Unlimit Brazil and related companies
