Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing 47 lbs. frequently throughout a shift and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to access all areas of the distribution center, including the mezzanine
  • Ability to work within a process path for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to read, use matching skills, and comprehend department/product documentation
  • Basic math skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training
  • Strong time-management skills; able to multitask, prioritize, and manage requests from all departments
  • 1-3 years of leadership, warehousing, or manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist Operations Managers in coordinating work activities and process flow
  • Instill a safety culture
  • Identify training needs
  • Participate in root cause analysis using experience and continuous improvement methodology
  • Assist in conducting control plan and standard work audits
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager to identify gaps
  • Work with team members, leaders, and departments to assess product flow and quality
  • Make appropriate recommendations and adjustments in collaboration with leader to efficiently and safely move product to achieve goals
  • Assign tasks to team members
  • Provide specific work direction and monitor progress daily to improve performance and functional area goals
  • Anticipate leaders’ needs and proactively solve problems before they arise
  • Uphold Target’s values and demonstrate professionalism and leadership
