Requirements
Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience designing for native mobile apps and 8+ years of experience contributing on design teams, along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field. They should demonstrate a strong creative vision, the ability to switch between blue-sky ideation and tactical thinking, and experience conducting evaluative and generative research methods. Familiarity with Free Knowledge and/or Open Source communities, as well as experience designing for and testing with diverse audiences, including internationalization/localization, is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Lead UX Designer will reduce complexity to create simple, delightful experiences for users, create prototypes and run experiments to iteratively test hypotheses, utilize and evolve the design system and guidelines, apply accessibility standards and Human Interface Guidelines, collaborate with designers, design managers, product managers, and engineers, distill complex concepts into understandable talking points, and support the growth of colleagues by mentoring others within the team. They will also work actively with other leaders to improve product and design processes and engage with the global design community.
