Requirements

The Lead User Researcher should possess a demonstrable impact on customers across various product areas, both directly and through supporting others, and significantly contribute to improving Monzo’s annual metrics and commercial outcomes. They should be able to identify and prioritize research efforts towards the most impactful opportunities, often declining less critical requests, and take a broad perspective across Monzo to formulate key research questions beyond individual squads. Furthermore, the candidate must confidently run any type of research project and introduce new approaches when necessary, while shaping projects to balance pace, quality, and focus for maximum impact.

Responsibilities

The Lead User Researcher will define strategy by synthesizing actionable insights from research, data, and market analysis, and build narratives to clearly communicate user understanding to diverse audiences. They will proactively connect with leadership and others to ensure research aligns with Monzo’s overall goals and objectives, and contribute to the User Research team’s mission of making money work for everyone.
