Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in CAD & CAE tools (NX, Hypermesh, ANSA, etc.) a plus
  • Knowledge of GD&T standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for non-conforming parts
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and inspire a group of diverse engineers
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and design (preferred)
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Experience running Additive Manufacturing build to print programs (preferred)
  • Experience with fast iteration prototyping programs (preferred)
  • Experience with stress analysis, particularly for structural integrity (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a role with MRB signing authority (preferred)
  • Experience with aerospace and/or automotive standards and regulatory requirements (AS9100, IATF, ISO, NADCAP, etc.) (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a history of cross-functional collaboration as well as engaging with external stakeholders (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead sustainment programs consisting of build to print applications, reverse engineering of existing products and single component design
  • Oversee a group of engineers assessing production non-conforming parts and serve as MRB authority for sign-off
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers in six-sigma methodologies for process improvement to eliminate manufacturing defects
  • Oversee engineering change order requests and implementation to production hardware (ECRs/ECOs)
  • Build and oversee a team of engineers in the execution of build to print and reverse engineer products for our sustainment portfolio
  • Lead engineering dispositions for production programs
  • Close collaboration with manufacturing engineers as well as executive leadership to set and execute functional strategy and goals
  • Collaborate successfully with cross-functional leaders to negotiate outcomes
