Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of twelve years of Python software development experience and at least two years in a lead role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, object-oriented programming expertise, and experience with Unreal Engine for virtual production are required. Familiarity with stage technologies like OLAT, LED walls, motion capture, and camera tracking, as well as experience developing tools for VFX, animation, or real-time production environments, is also necessary. Understanding of volume capture workflows, including meshing and gaussian splatting pipelines, is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Lead Software Engineer will lead a team in developing and maintaining tools for real-time, virtual production, and stage workflows. This role involves collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to define requirements, translating them into technical components, and mitigating potential issues to keep projects on schedule. The engineer will also set quality standards, mentor team members through code reviews, take ownership of pipeline initiatives, work with Pipeline Architects on project definitions, and ensure projects align with organizational goals and best practices.
