Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ years’ experience in a factory setting with equipment maintenance or post-high school education or training
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. (also able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance)
  • Knowledge of measurement
  • Understanding of engineering drawings (ability to read and interpret drawings/prints)
  • Trained in the operation of mills, lathes, polishing grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment
  • Experience with hand tools/drill press/calipers/micrometers
  • Experience in Lock Out Tag Out and Arc Flash
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively to accomplish predetermined project objectives
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and cGMP requirements
  • Makes or improves different types of tools, jigs, fixtures or clamps
  • Perform simple fabrication duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mechanic tasks, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines and ancillary support equipment
  • Make use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and machinery for job responsibilities
  • Align with safety regulations and uphold clean and orderly work areas
  • Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvement), Lean and Continuous Improvement, and 5S activities
  • On occasion research, order, and receive special tools and equipment to support the continuous improvement process
