Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
4+ years’ experience in a factory setting with equipment maintenance or post-high school education or training
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. (also able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance)
Knowledge of measurement
Understanding of engineering drawings (ability to read and interpret drawings/prints)
Trained in the operation of mills, lathes, polishing grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment
Experience with hand tools/drill press/calipers/micrometers
Experience in Lock Out Tag Out and Arc Flash
Basic computer and data entry skills
Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organization skills
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to operate autonomously and collaboratively to accomplish predetermined project objectives
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

Follow all safety and cGMP requirements
Makes or improves different types of tools, jigs, fixtures or clamps
Perform simple fabrication duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic tasks, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting and repair of production machines and ancillary support equipment
Make use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and machinery for job responsibilities
Align with safety regulations and uphold clean and orderly work areas
Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvement), Lean and Continuous Improvement, and 5S activities
On occasion research, order, and receive special tools and equipment to support the continuous improvement process
