Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, architecture, industrial design, or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ brand design experience demonstrating creative sophistication in concepts and design/visual communications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design processes
  • Track record of innovative use of emerging technology to build impactful spaces, consumer engagement, and interaction
  • Ability to work across design subject areas such as graphic design, environmental design, materials, and digital
  • Strategic, collaborative, and creative team leadership skills
  • Ability to ideate creative concepts, illustrate ideas, and lead projects hands-on to completion
  • Experience supporting consumer-led retail concepts and evolving retail business

Responsibilities

  • Support and develop consumer-led retail concepts for APLA stores and the evolution of the Nike retail business
  • Collaborate under the direction of a Brand Creative Design Director in creative vision and concepting of innovative, original retail store environments and programs
  • Develop impactful, scalable design solutions that reflect Nike’s design ethos and enhance consumer retail experiences
  • Integrate and execute design strategy, incorporating business, design, consumer, and cultural storytelling
  • Lead and provide direction to design teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring vision, strategic/tactical direction, and design continuity
  • Ensure project goals and priorities align with retail business strategies; address resources and challenges
  • Manage functional design professionals, including coaching, development, performance management, recognition, and rewards
  • Foster innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Collaborate with peers, design counterparts, and partner groups for project continuity and alignment to brand plans
  • Manage design processes to meet deliverables, timelines, and budgets; initiate and drive best practices
  • Communicate and present design concepts to all levels of management; elevate strategic concerns timely
  • Partner with cross-functional peers and internal/external teams to realize innovative retail environments, displays, and digital solutions
