Requirements

  • Proficiency in managing business cases, P&L impacts, budgets, and capital requests
  • Knowledge of market research, industry trends, competitive landscape in residential gateways, open-source firmware, Wi-Fi (6/6E/7), silicon/OEM roadmaps (e.g., Qualcomm, MediaTek), and 5G/RAN standards (NSA/SA)
  • Experience using Agile SDLC best practices, backlog prioritization, and GenAI tools for PRD drafting, test-case generation, log clustering/triage, and release notes with data/privacy guardrails
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with Technology Development, Operations, Care/Field Ops, Supply Chain, OEM/silicon partners, Contracting, Legal, Product Marketing, and Pricing
  • Office presence minimum 5 days per week (no relocation offered)

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle for residential gateways and firmware stacks, from concept through launch, scale, and end-of-life
  • Drive release readiness, staged OTA rollouts, rollback strategies, and track success metrics (e.g., crash-free rate, MTBF, upgrade success rate, attach success)
  • Manage budgets, capital requests, estimates, and funding processes
  • Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing for production and distribution
  • Translate customer problems, business goals, and technical constraints into PRDs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for 5G/FWA and broadband gateways
  • Specify requirements for telemetry, device management, and security; prioritize backlogs and tradeoffs
  • Conduct market research: monitor trends, competitive landscape, silicon/OEM roadmaps, and standards evolution; size opportunities, model volumes/revenues, assess costs/risks
  • Build and maintain multi-quarter product roadmaps for firmware, hardware variants, device management with milestones, go/no-go criteria, KPIs, service guides, and documentation
  • Drive revenue/margin growth through feature differentiation, cost optimization, customer experience improvements, and prpl/open-source strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Technology Development, Operations, Care/Field Ops, Supply Chain) and external partners (OEM/silicon, prpl community); act as liaison; work with Contracting, Legal, Marketing, Pricing for offers, negotiations, and launches
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans
