Expert engineer in several disciplines related to the acquisition, production, or distribution of media content
Well-versed in multiple technical standards
Hands-on experience in both the sustainment and design/build of production systems
Comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of technology powering generation, monetization, and distribution of linear and digital video/audio content
Familiarity with systems including Playout Technology, Studios, Production Control Rooms, Remote Production, Post-Production, Contribution/Distribution Systems, Networking, Cloud Compute, Production Software, and Virtual Environments
Flexibility to work nights, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays (current schedule: 3:00PM to 12:00 AM)
Ability to operate in a 24/7 team environment
Responsibilities
Transform the capability and flexibility of how Disney acquires, produces, and distributes content worldwide, ensuring highest levels of quality, efficiency, and resiliency
Serve as part of a tiered sustainment model, handling escalated incidents from tier 1 (shared Operations) and tier 2 (Media Engineer I’s, II’s, Sr. Media Engineer) as tier 3 (Lead Media Engineer)
Lead sustainment efforts in the technology areas assigned
Interface with both external and internal partners to ensure technical areas are supported
